Bar fight leads to stabbings in Lower Mayfair

A fight at a Lower Mayfair bar led to the stabbing and hospitalization of two men last Friday night.

The altercation broke out at about 11 p.m. inside the Bamboo Sports Bar, 6238 Bustleton Ave., and soon spilled outside the taproom, police said. That’s when an unidentified attacker used a knife to stab one man, 25, in the right side of his rib cage and slash another man, 22, in the right hand. Paramedics took the older victim to Aria Health’s Torresdale hospital in critical condition, and the younger victim to Aria’s Frankford hospital, where he received three stitches to his hand and was released.
